As the CEO of Applitools, Alex drives the strategic vision and direction for the company. He specializes in building successful software and technology companies and has a proven track record of transforming organizations to promote sustainable growth while also strengthening company culture. Most recently, he served as President of Sonatype, a Vista Equity Portfolio Company, where he accelerated product and revenue growth throughout his tenure. Prior to Sonatype, he was the Chief Revenue Officer for Vector Solutions, a Genstar and Golden Gate Capital portfolio company. Before joining Vector Solutions, Berry was the COO and President of Syniti (PE backed by Goldman Sachs), which he and the management team sold to Bridge Growth Partners.
Berry spent over seven years at Neustar (NYSE: NSR), where he and the leadership team drove revenues from $50M to over $1.3B, ultimately leading to the company being taken private.
Alex holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and he sits on the Regional Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society. He and his wife, Nancy, reside in North Palm Beach, Florida, and have two sons—one who plays professional baseball for the Cleveland Guardians and one who entered the professional golf tour in 2022.
