Troubleshooting

You have received an error message when accessing a Figma file or the resource is not found

These errors may occur for any of the following reasons:

  • The Figma file or page you imported into Centra no longer exists and in Figma.

Check Figma and restore the file or page. If necessary, you can delete the project in Centra and upload a new page to start over.

Designs have been added, updated, or removed from your Centra project

If the project source is Figma:

  • The Figma page linked to your project in Centra has been updated and a sync on the project occurred.

In Centra, Figma is the "Source of truth", and Centra will mirror the changes to the Figma page.

If the project source is your file system:

  • Centra is a collaboration tool that can be used by a single person or multiple persons in a team. Team members who have either Editor or Admin permissions can add, update, and delete items in a project. However, when these actions occur, Centra automatically sends email notifications to all team members.

Some buttons are disabled, such as Add project or Upload more designs

  • You have View-only permission for the team you are working on.

If you require access, ask a team member with Admin privileges to change your permission setting.

  • You have exceeded our maximum of 10 projects allowed.

Remove a project from your team in order to add a new one.

  • You have exceeded our maximum of 500 designs allowed per project.

Remove designs from the project in order to add more.

You are unable to upload a large number of files

  • Centra has a restriction to only allow uploads in 50 file increments. If you wish to add more files to your project, select the "Upload more designs" option on your project and upload files in increments of 50.

You have selected "Replace design" from your file system but nothing changed

  • Centra compares the previous design image with the new updated image. If the two images are identical, Centra will not update the image.

You are unable to upload image files

  • Check that files are in PNG format. Images must be in PNG format and cannot exceed 50 MB.

You receive a "Please try again later" error message when communicating with Figma

  • This occurs when communication with the Figma APIs could not be established. Try your request again later.
